individual specialist project #126 - individual specialist project part 09

This is my 7th blogspot post for our individual specialist project
Today (August 18th 2015) I have finalised some moodboards for this strategy game.
Starting with ....

                                                       The target audience moodboard

                                                                               - Font
Since this game is loosely based on the romance of the three kingdoms
I have decided to keep the asian feel of lifestyle and illustration style throughout the project

The culture and place that this game will be located will be in China
Ancient China around 200 BC or so

As you can see ... 
                                            the game will be a strategy board game for ipad 
            but when the player get into battle with their opponent the gameplay will be turned into
                                                               an arcade fighting style game

individual specialist project #125 - individual specialist project part 08

This is my 6th blogspot post for our individual specialist project
Tonight (August 17th 2015) I have decided to scrap my idea of a rpg game 
and thought up of something else instead.
And my new idea will loosely be based on ...
dynasty warriors 
(Romance of the three kingdoms)

and chinese chess
The title of this game is to be called ...

Imperial chess
"To conquer all of Ming in a game of chinese chess"
 
Story
More than 100 years ago in 206 BC, a great war took place (called the warring states) between Sun Wu, Bei Shu and Cao Wei. Just when will the war end? Can the three states bring peace back to Ming once and for all?

The premise of the game is to bring back peace between the three states

Non-player characters populate the game
Main goal
defeat the enemy's general 
Other goals
in story mode players have the choice to play as one of the three states 
and learn through their part of their story
In empire mode they have the choice to hold council meetings 
to plan for their next turn of attacks, in charge of being a head general or officer
and conquer the whole of Ming. 
Gameplay
Turn based strategy board game
Player take turns to fight their opponent, can use special attacks
to defeat opponent's general and use items in battle.
Reason
Teaches the history of Ming (China) and the three states,
also the importance of peace and unity
Target audience
Teenagers to young adults 
(ages 13 to 25)

Because of the sudden change of a new idea

I'm pretty sure it's not too late to start a new idea, would it?
