individual specialist project #163 - individual specialist project part 46

This is my 42nd blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ...


Yesterday (October 6th 2015) I did some more character art
this time focusing on the other characters of Cao wei
[in colour]

Today (October 7th 2015) I continued with my character art for the 
other character and this time I started on the kingdom Bei Shu.

But before that I worked on the kickstarter mockup webpage
for the game. So far I'm focusing on the character descriptions.

[The banners that's on there are not final.
Will need to work on them a bit later].

individual specialist project #162 - individual specialist project part 45

This is my 41st blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 

 Yesterday (October 4th 2015) I did some more character art
this time focusing on the other characters

[It's just the roughs though]

Today (October 5th 2015) I continued with my character art for the 
other character and this time I have finished another 6 cao wei characters.
[in colour]
After that, there's 6 more other characters in cao wei that I have left to do
before I move on to the other characters in Bei Shu and Sun Wu

Other than that ...
this is what happening with the project so far
(last week update of schedule)


and it seems I am moving rather slowly with the characters
I had better speed up my process of doing them.
My aim for this week is to finish up all the character art 
of  Cao Wei, Bei Shu, and Sun Wu.
The DLC characters will have to wait a bit later.

individual specialist project #161 - individual specialist project part 44

This is my 41st blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 

Yesterday (October 1st 2015) I continued with my character art 
for the three main characters and managed to finish one for sun jian.
Here is a version with all the 3 main characters
Normal version - This is the style you will see during the tutorial.
Battle pose - you will see this pose during the battles but they will be in their
chibi version
Chibi version - This is the style you will see in the main town, character selection 
and batlle. Basically this is the style that you will see throughout the game.

And yesterday I  also managed to do the character art for the other characters.
The first part is Xiahou Dun and Cao cao.
(in colour)

and I did a rough character art for the other characters that's in imperial chess
3rd part involved Yu Jin and Zhang Liao


Today (October 2nd 2015)  I continued with my character art 
for the other characters 
The 2nd part is Xun Yu and Cao pi
(in colour)

and I also finish the 3rd part
with Yu Jin and Zhang Liao
(in colour)

after that I compiled all three parts into one image
and decided to use that image for my mock up kickstarter webpage

Other than that, there are 15 other characters in cao wei that I have left to do
before I move on to the other characters in Bei Shu and Sun Wu

individual specialist project #160 - individual specialist project part 43

This is my 40th blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 

Yesterday (September 29th 2015) I continued with my character art 
for the three main characters and managed to finish one for cao cao.

Today (September 30th 2015) I continued with my character art
for the three main characters and managed to finish a rough version for sun jian

later after that I did a rough character art for the other characters that's in imperial chess
first part involved Xiahou Dun and Cao cao.
and 2nd part is of Xun Yu and Cao Pi
Coming up soon ...
will be the character art for Xiahou dun and Cao cao (coloured)
(later) character art of Sun jian

individual specialist project #159 - individual specialist project part 42

This is my 39th blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 


Not much has been done today (September 28th 2015) 
except that I managed to finish the first part of the pitch pack,
compile, export, and handed it in on time by the end of  the day.
After that I started working on the 2nd part
of the indivdual specialist project the kickstarter mockup webpage
I decided to work on the supporting art first since that will
take me a bit longer to work on.

Today I worked on the character art of ...
Liu Bei

(Far left) - This is the version the players will see 
during the character selection screen
(middle) - This is the battle pose the players will see during the battle sequence
[more details will be explained later]
(Far right) - This is the avatar the players will see when they're inside the main town
and when they buy something from the item shop and the armoury

Coming up soon ...
will be the character art for Cao Cao and Sun jian (a bit later)

individual specialist project #158 - individual specialist project part 41

This is my 38th blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 
Today (September 26th 2015) I finished on the things that 
was listed yesterday which includes:
character concept art with expressions and pose
 
and here's a rendered version of the battlefield (environment)

The rest of the list has been completed in the pitch pack

individual specialist project #157 - individual specialist project part 40

This is my 37th blogspot post for our individual specialist project.
Continued from where I had left off ... 
Today (September 25th 2015) I worked on some 
mockups for what the game might look like 
and these are what I come up with ...
in this mockup the colours make it look too bright and 
everything else that surrounds it look too busy 
because of that I dim the colours a bit down and this mockup
relate to that.
This make the mockup of the game look much more better now.
By making the option menu more stand out

Other than that according to the brief I have missed out on
doing some things which include ...
- character concept art with expressions and pose
- adding more parts to my bibliography 
(I forgot to reference the pics I got for the gameplay)
- naming my moodboard
- concept art and developments
for character,environment and interface
so before next monday (sep 28th - deadline)
I have better finish all of that

I have done one character for the expression and pose
and that is Liu Bei (rough)

I still have 2 more to do and then I need to put them all in colour

After that coming up soon ...
- character concept art with expressions and pose in colour
(all 3 main characters)

- adding more parts to my bibliography 
(I forgot to reference the pics I got for the gameplay)

- naming my moodboard
- concept art and developments
for character,environment and interface
- and lastly recompiling all of it together
